Extending Malicious Prosecutions to Civil Proceedings
Ontoyin's paper is, ultimately, a call for Ghanaian courts to do what the UK Supreme Court did in Willers and Crawford, and what progressive Canadian and American jurisdictions have increasingly done: to recognise that the abuse of legal process is not a problem confined to the criminal courts, and that the law must be equal to the full range of ways in which litigation can be weaponised.
