The International Criminal Court (ICC) and the Africa Centre of International Justice (ACICJ) of the GIMPA Law School renewed their partnership at the sidelines of 23rd session of the Assembly of States Parties in The Hague (Netherlands) on the 7th day of December, 2024.
The respected and learned Dean of the GIMPA Law School, Dr. Kwaku Agyemang-Budu signed the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the GIMPA Law School. The Registrar of of the ICC, Osvaldo Zavala Giler also signed on behalf of the International body, the ICC.
According to the Registrar who offered some words after the signing ceremony, "The ICC's future and its success lies in the hands of todays' generation of law students. Having them part of the Court's journey and relying on their dedication, determination and aspirations has been possible though the creation of partnerships such as this one."
Specifically on the memorandum with the GIMPA Law School, the Registrar further said that "The Court has been committed to fostering strong partnerships with the Universities and legal centres across the world for a number of years already, building a good foundation for future collaborative activities, sharing knowledge and expertise, learning from each other and ultimately making the Rome Statute system strong".
