His Lordship Justice Felix Datsomor, a High Court Judge of the Ghanaian Judiciary has achieved a significant milestone, being elected as the Regional Vice President for West Africa of the Commonwealth Magistrates' and Judges' Association (CMJA).
The election took place during the ongoing 20th CMJA Triennial Conference in The Gambia. Justice Datsomor was inducted into office yesterday, officially beginning his two-year renewable tenure. The CMJA conference, which is a major international event for judicial officers, is being held in Banjul under the theme: “Innovations In Judicial Practice: Embracing Change For A Better Future.”

A Seat on the Executive Committee
By virtue of his election, Justice Datsomor becomes one of the six regional vice presidents across the continent and automatically secures a seat on the Executive Committee of the CMJA as a member. This committee is central to the Association's work in promoting the rule of law and judicial independence throughout the Commonwealth. The Association's leadership comprises one president and the six regional vice presidents.

Justice Datsomor's new role places a distinguished Ghanaian judicial figure in a key leadership position within the international judicial community. Justice Datsoor's induction marks a new chapter for Ghana's representation on the global judicial stage.
