The Minister in Charge of Communications, Samuel Nartey George has filed his witness statement to be relied on at trial in the defamation case of Samuel Nartey George v PK Sarpong alias PK Whispers Suit No. GJ/0845/2025.

The Plaintiff-Minister by the filing of the said process has signaled his relentlessness to demonstrate to the Court that a statement by the defendant, Mr. P.K. Sarpong, about him being gifted a brand new Lexus V8 contrary to the code of conduct of the President is defamatory.

In the filed witness statement of the Plaintiff-Minister, he shall testify that the following words of the Defendant are defamatory of his reputation:

"Dear President Jolm Dramani Mahama!

This top of the range Lexus your Minister for Communications, Sam Dzata Goerge

is driving is a gift from someone to him.

You recently launched a code of ethics for your appointees to stay away from such

things.

I am keeping the name of the one who gifted him this Lexus to my chest for now.

Let me repeat, this unregistered Lexus your appointee is using is a gift to him!"

Per the witness statement filed on 5th May, 2026, Hon. Samuel George intends to offer testimony that "The Defendant's publication was false, malicious, and intended to cause maximum injury to my character, reputation, and credibility, both in my private capacity and in my public office."
