Our Star is a gem of a legal mind. Our Star has lived in service and continues to serve his Country with his legal giftings. Our Star is an accomplished lawyer, law lecturer, respected legal writer, judge and traditional leader. Prior to ascending the high office of Justice of the Court of Appeal, our Star was the Managing Partner of Ampofo, Oppong and Associates, a firm of lawyers in Accra.

Our Star, through his decades of life at the Bar has built and possesses invaluable experience and expertise in Energy and Natural Resource Law. He also has enormous experience in Banking and Finance law and practices, having worked as a lawyer for a number of banking and financial institutions in Ghana. Our Star is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London

In his academic life, our Star has lectured at a number of universities in Ghana which includes Central University. He has taught and continues to teach at the Ghana School of Law as a Senior Lecturer of the School's Faculty. Our Star on the 1st day of April 2022, was duly appointed as the Director of Legal Education and the Ghana School of Law after the retirement of the former director of the School, the learned Mr. Kwasi Prempeh-Eck. On the 15th day of December, 2022, Our Star was officially inducted into office as Director of Legal Education and of the Ghana School of Law following his appointment.

Our Star diligently steered affairs of the school until his replacement by the learned Professor of Law, Raymond Atuguba on the 31st day of August, 2025. Away from law practice, academia and professional legal training, Our Star was appointed to the High Office of a Justice of the Court of Appeal of the Republic of Ghana on the 23rd day of July, 2023. On the Bench, our Star continues to amass legal and judicial respect through his judgements with a number of them being jurisprudence advancing decisions such as TOBINCO PHARMACEUTICALS LTD v. FOOD AND DRUGS AUTHORITY [TLP-CA-2026-20]; GODWIN ADJEI & ORS v. THE REPUBLIC [TLP-CA-2026-31].

In his private life, our Star is a thriving farmer. In his regal life, he is the Manwerehene of Akyem Abuakwa bearing the stool name, Omansomfo Barima Oppong Kodie occupying the privileged position as one of the sub-chiefs of the Akyem Abuakwa Paramountcy.

Our Star is a prolific writer and author of a number of articles and a resourceful book on property law in Ghana titled, "Contemporary Trends in the Law of Immovable Property in Ghana". Our Star has served on a number of boards of respected nstitutions including the Board of Directors of the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) where he served as a Board Member from March 11, 2022.
