The respected and experienced Senior Partner at Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah, the learned Ace Anan Ankomah is leading a select group of lawyers who have the honourable task of unpacking and assessing the Tribunals Act on behalf of the Ghana Bar Association.

The disclosure to lawyers of the establishment of the team and its leadership was made on Monday, the 14th day of September, 2026 at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Ghana Bar Association Conference currently ongoing in Accra at the Aqua Safari Hotel.

Bar position to be stated

The Bar Association through its President during her speech informed the gathering of 1,700 lawyers at the conference grounds and online of the intention of the Association to officially state its position on the law upon the conclusion of the work of the committee headed by Mr. Ankomah.

The news of the committee headed by Mr. Ankomah follows intense public debate and commentary on the Act. Following the introduction of the law in parliament, its consideration to its passage, the Bill has suffered criticisms and pushback on grounds of its utility to the delivery of Justice, workability and its uncomfortable past of bizarre and unfair justice delivery.
