His Lordship, the Justice of the High Court, Amasaman, the respected Dr. Osei-Hwere has rejected the application for bail filed by Patricia Asiedu, popularly known as Agradaa.

His Lordship in his 8-paged ruling dismissed claims by lawyers of the convict, Agradaa, that the judge below exhibited bias against the convict leading to her conviction and sentence.

In what can be described as a clear cut application of bail pending trial principles, His Lordship held the view that per the application filed by Agradaa through her Lawyers led by the learned Asare Richard Baffour, the application of the convict does not demonstrate a likelihood of success of her appeal.

Moved by expedition in hearing of the appeal, His Lordship ruled that:

"To ensure expeditious hearing of the appeal, I order the Registrar of the Circuit Court, Accra to furnish this court and counsel for Appellant/Applicant with the entire record of appeal within 14 days"
