The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has acknowledged receipt and indicated its intentions to act on the petition filed against the President for abuse of office and family advantage in the take over of the Damang gold mining site.

Guided by the decision of the High Court in the 2026 case of THE REPUBLIC v. COMMISSION ON HUMAN RIGHTS & ADMINISTRATIVE JUSTICE, EX PARTE WILBERFORCE ASARE [TLP-HC-2026-14], by a letter dated Monday, the 25th day of May, 2026, the Ombudsman through its Principal Registrar, Mr. Daniel Anang Afetsi has indicated its intention to revert to the petitioner on his petition filed on the 20th day of May, 2026, a copy of which may be read here.
