Her Excellency, Anna Bossman has challenged Lawyers to address issues of slow pace of cases in Courts in Ghana.
H.E Bossman threw the challenge to lawyers gathered at the New Auditorium of the University of SDD-UBIDS in Wa on the second day of the 2025 Ghana Bar Association Cenference where H.E Anna Bossman addressed lawyers on the conference theme of "Sustaining the 4th Republican Constitutional Democracy; the Role of the Judiciary and the Legal Profession”.
The Lawyer of many years standing at the Bar and former Commissioner of the Ghanaian Ombudsman, Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) bemoaned the situation where cases drag on for years in Court.
Lawyers stimulating delay
H.E Anna Bossman took the opportunity in her lecture on the subject of delay of cases in Court to suggest that some lawyers are guilty of stimulating and perpertuating delays in Court. She said to the auditorium filled with lawyers, "this is not good".
H.E Anna Bossman advised Lawyers to digitise their Chambers for speedier service delivery and challenge Lawyers to clamour for digitised Courts. H.E Anna Bossman said this digitisation shall expand access to Justice in Ghana.
