Prez. Mahama removes Chief Justice Torkornoo from office

The President of the Republic pursuant to recommendations from the Justice Pwamang Committee has removed the Chief Justice of the Republic, Her Ladyship Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo from office as Chief Justice of the Republic.

The removal of the Chief Justice follows the presentation of the of the work of the Justice Pwamang Committee to the President this Monday afternoon on the 1st Day of September, 2025.
