Our Star is a celebrated and revered household name in Legal Education Administration in Ghana. Our Star is the founding Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Cape Coast (UCC). Our Star has over thirty years working experience in education. In his remarkable time at the University of Cape Coast, our Star also served as the Dean of the University's School of Business. Our Star is the current and the first Vice-Chancellor of Ghana's Methodist University.
In his life well lived in the law, our Star has had an illustrious legal practice equally as his life manning educational institutions. Aside his dependable text in Company law, our Star is known for his processes and rigorous submissions leading to decisions of the Supreme Court in landmark cases such as PROF. STEPHEN KWAKU ASARE v. THE ATTORNEY-GENERAL [TLP-SC-2004-10]; SAMUEL APPIAH AMPOFO v. CHRAJ [TLP-SC-2005-10]; PROF. KWAKU ASARE v. ATTORNEY-GENERAL [TLP-SC-2012-40] among others.
At the Ghana Bar Association, our Star served as the chairman of the Association's Committee on continuing Legal Education and Professional Development. He served as a member of the University Teachers Association of Ghana and also as a member of the International Association of Law Schools’ Deans Forum. Our Star is proudly the Convener on the Conference of Law Deans (Ghana).
In a former life, our Star was the Director of Legal Services and Investigations at the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ). Virtually all prominent Universities in Ghana have had a brush of with our Star as he has also been heavily involved in teaching, consulting and promotion of higher education. Institutions he has had a stint with include, Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Center, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, Ghana Police College, North Carolina Central University School of Law, and Central University College, Ghana.
Our Star is a respected scholar of Law and Education Management. He holds a Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) degree from the University of Toronto, Canada. He has to his name to many scholarly materials and proudly boasts of mentoring many others in legal academia and practice.
