The learned and respected Godfred Yeboah Dame has pointedly objected to the panel reconstituted to hear the injunction applications brought by Vincent Ekow Assafuah against the President and the Pwamang Committee of Inquiry in the removal of the suspended Chief Justice.

In line with constitutional history and decided cases from the selfsame Supreme Court , Mr Dame offered the following authorities to sway the Court to grant his objection to the inclusion of the Acting Chief Justice on the panel to make decision that can affect his current office: Tuffuor v. Attorney-General; Abban- GBA v. Attorney-General; Acquah - Agyei-Twum v. Attorney-General.

Mr. Dame submitted that Anytime there is a dispute over the position of CJ, the CJ never empanels himself. He argued that the instant applications and the writ upon which the applications were erected can affect the substantive office holder and himself. He thus pressed upon the Court in his usual voice of conviction that the Acting Chief Justice, the experienced Baffoe Bonnie JSC should not be sitting on the matter.

The Supreme Court bench rose to confer to rule on the objection raised to the panel. The Coram of the Court in addition to the Acting Chief Justice are Mensah-Bonsu, Kulendi, Tanko, Gaewu JJSC.
