The respected Thaddeus Sory has implored the learned Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Justice Gertrude Torkornoo to be guided by administrative fairness rules in the use of her discretionary powers in the discharge of her administrative functions in case transfers.

Mr. Sory in a well argued epistle which can be read below, decries the decision by the respected Chief Justice to transfer a criminal matter intituled Republic v Elisha Mahama Akpannyiche & 2 Others. (Suit No. UW/WA/DC/B1/10/2024) from the Wa High Court where the accused persons reside and purported criminal activity took place among others to Kumasi which per Mr. Sory, is far removed and inconvenient for accused persons and proceedings of trial.

More instructive in the dependable and relentless Sory's article is the call for guidance by administrative fairness requirements under Articles 23 and 296 of the 1992 Constitution in every decision by the Chief Justice to transfer any case from one court to the other. Mr. Sory in his usual lucid fashion contends that the decision by the Chief Justice through the learned Judicial Secretary to transfer the said case above mentioned is wrongful.
