The former Director of Legal Education and Director of the Ghana School of Law, Mr. Maxwell Opoku Agyemang will lead the manifesto sub-committee of the New Patriotic Party on Legal and Governance matters.

The news of the appointment of the brainchild of the triple-track system of the Ghana School of Law was carried in a statement signed by the Director of Communication of the Bawumia Campaign team.

Mr. Opoku Agyemang, a respected legal academic with a number of textbooks to his credit, a long standing member of the bar and a respected lawyer is expected to bring his experience from academia, legal practice and the operations of the machinery of justice delivery to bear as head of this sub-committee.

The work of the Legal and Governance sub-committee of the Bawumia campaign is expected to capture the vision of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for legal education and other legal proposals as captured in his address of 8th February, 2024 and as captured in the image below:

The work of Mr. Opoku Agyemang's committee is to look back to the 2016 and 2020 manifestoes of the NPP and birth a pragmatic set of legal and governance policy proposals for 2024.
