The learned Agbesi Kwadzo Dzakpasu, the current President of the Greater Accra Region Bar has picked up nomination forms to contest the Presidency of the foremost Association of Lawyers, the Ghana Bar Association.
Mr. Dzakpasu, a respected litigation lawyer who holds an LLM in Banking and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science(LSE) and has twenty-four solid years of practice at the Bar is expected to soon file his nominations after broad consultations and familiarization visits of many chambers and departments across the country.
The learned Agbesi Dzakpasu is a partner of Lexkudoz Legal Consultants and Notary Public Headquartered at Pension House in the foremost Business District of the Capital with an annex at the heart of Osu. The Law Platform is yet to firmly establish any other candidate seeking to vie for the same position of Presidency of the Association.
Other positions
The respected trainer of budding lawyers in advocacy and Head of the respected Okudzeto and Associates law firm, the daring Victoria Barth, per our impeccable sources eyes the Vice Presidency of the Mother Association of Lawyers. Upon her nomination and victory at the polls, she will follow in the shoes of the learned Mrs. Gbesematse as the second female Vice President of the Association.
The learned Baffour Gyau of Minkah-Premo seeks to maintain his duties towards the Association as its Secretary. Our Sources also indicate the learned Managing Partner of one of the few Firms in Ghana with cross-border practice and partnership, AB and David, will contest the Presidency of the Greater Accra Region Bar. The elegant Isabel Boaten will seek to take the mantle after Mr. Agbesi exits from the seat of the Presidency at the Greater Accra Region Bar, the most populous Regional Bar in Ghana.
Nominations close on the 30th of June, 2024. Elections for the various positions of the Association will be held in September when lawyers congregate at Kumasi for the yearly Bar Conference.
