The Court of Appeal constituted by Justices Anthony Oppong, Francis Koffie and Yaw Oppong has refused efforts at halting the enforcement of the judgment of the High Court granting reliefs against Zeepay for the recovery of over eleven million dollars.
Per the orders of the Court of Appeal dated the 24th day of June, 2026, the Court held that the Applicant-Judgment debtors, Zeepay and its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Appiah-Takyi failed to make any depositions and offer any evidential material of the inability of the Judgment-Creditor to refund the monies sought to be recovered if the appeal launched by Zeepay and its CEO succeeds.
Execution ongoing
Per sources of The Law Platform, officers of the Court with police protection have stormed the premises of the Judgment-Debtors ostensibly to execute the judgment of the Court by attaching vehicles of the Company and its Head Office building situate at Cantonments opposite Ghana International School and the home and cars of its CEO, Mr. Appiah-Takyi.
Below are attached properties belonging to Mr. Appiah-Takyi and Zeepay for the execution of the judgment of the High Court delivered on the 16th day of April, 2026. Following the images below is the decision of the Court of Appeal refusing the stay of execution.
