The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) on the 12th day of January, 2026 has filed disclosures seeking to subpoena some 13 Chief Executive Officers of Petroleum Companies in Ghana's downstream Petroleum Industry.
The disclosures from the Office filed pursuant to the orders of the High Court, Criminal Division 4 Presided by the learned Justice of the High Court, H/L Audrey Kocuvie-Tay lists some 13 Chief Executive Officers of the donwstream sector lined up by the OSP to be compelled through orders of the Court to offer testimony during trial.
The list of C.E.Os per the disclosures of the OSP include:
1. Gifty Aryee (CEO, Annandale Logistics and Annandale Ghana Ltd.)
2. Godknows Dodsey (CEO, GB Oil)
3. Lawrence Yaw Donkor (Operations Manager, Crown Petroleum Ltd)
4. Philip Tieku (CEO, Star Oil)
5. Joseph Cobbinah (CEO, Mobik Energy Ltd)
6. Clement Kobby Tanoh (CEO, La Clem Ghana Ltd)
7. Joseph Kwaku Horgle Sevordzi (CEO, JK Horgle Transport) Dennis Hasford (Operations Manager, Manba Gas)
9. Kwadwo Agyepong (General Manager, Lambark Gas)
10. Justice Adjei (CEO, Energetic Petroleum)
11. Patrick Henry Asiamah Andoh (CEO, Rik Energy Ltd)
12. Alhaji Abuba Shaibu (CEO, Nasona Oil)
13. Nana Dwomoh Agyemang-Badu (CEO, First Gas Company Ltd and Band
Energy Ltd.)
The OSP per the amended charge sheet filed against Dr. Mustapha Abbdul Hamid and 9 others and the disclosures filed shall seek to exact testimony evidence from the persons to be subpoenaed in support of the charges brought against the accused persons.
Per the disclosures, the OSP through its witness, a Deputy Staff Officer and an investigator at the OSP shall tender some 85 Exhibits and seek to develop it's case to secure conviction for the 10 accused persons.
Next Court date
The Court shall sit on the 22nd day of January, 2026 to hear an application filed by Mr. Hamid for a premature deathknell to the case and prosecution of the OSP against him. The Court shall also take other businesses for the progression of the case.
