Sources of The Law Platform indicate the respected and learned former Deputy Attorney-General, Hon. Dr. Dominic Ayine and the relentless courtroom 'advocate', the learned Thaddeaus Sory are lead contenders for the position of Attorney-General and Minister of Justice under the new Mahama Administration which shall begin on the 8th day of January, 2024.

The learned Ayine is a PhD holder in law with his doctoral thesis on the undemocratic nature of Bretton Woods Institutions so far as imposition of economic programs are concerned. He founded Ayine and Partners, an East Legon based law firm in general legal practice. His protege is the learned Edudzi Tamakloe who manages his firm.

Dr. Ayine is a member of the International Bar Association and Commonwealth Lawyers Association.

Sory

The learned Sory is the mind behind Sory at Law, a respected law firm managed by the Learned Nuhela Seidu, wife of the member of Parliament for North Tongu who is represented by her in his legal battles against Mr. Victor Kusi Boateng alias, Adu Gyamfi. Mr. Sory operates his law firm in Accra with satellite offices at the business District of Accra near University of Ghana City Campus, and Upper East, where he hails from.

Mr. Sory is known for his firm advocacy and non-retreating spirit. He is a teacher of advocacy at the Ghana School of Law. He represents the Speaker of Parliament in a number of constitutional cases filed at the Supreme Court and also famed for a number of high profile cases, both civil and criminal.

Mr. Sory holds strong legal views and does not shy away from sharing same. His most recent has been his criticism of the Court shift system policy introduced by the learned Chief Justice and his claim of unconstitutionality of the raft of guidelines and directives in Justice delivery by the Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Gertrude Torkornoo.

Marrietta Brew-Oppong

Sources of The Law Platform indicates that until other ideas surface, the learned former Attorney-General Marrietta Brew-Oppong shall not head back to her former Ministry though she shall be serving in the new administration.
