The Greater Accra Regional Bar has scheduled the 11th day of July 2026 to the 14th day of July, 2026 for a streak of activities marking the law week of the Regional Bar. The 2026 Greater Accra Bar Law Week shall be celebrated under the theme, "CORPORATE GOVERNANCE REBOOTED: From Rules To Transformation"

Per a release from the Greater Accra Regional Bar, the following is the rationale for the theme and some of the activities during the week which every lawyer in the Region ought to participate in.

"RATIONALE FOR THE THEME

Corporate governance failures and compliance gaps are not abstract risks. It gnaws at an organization's foundation and ethos leading to erosion of stakeholder confidence, financial mismanagement and reputational damage.

As lawyers, we sit at the centre of these systems as board advisors, in-house counsel, public sector lawyers and private practitioners. The quality of our governance advice, our adherence to professional ethics, and our willingness to resist expediency often marks the line between early course correction and full-blown institutional crisis.
