The criminal trial of Mad. Cecilia Dapaah and her husband was cut short when Dr. Isidore Tuffour rose to his feet supplying information to the court.

The Doctor of Criminal law informed the court that he has had information from the Special Prosecutor, Mr. Kissi Agyebeng that his petition to the Chief Justice has not been withdrawn.

This information comes as a direct denial of the news from Justice Edward Twum on the withdrawal of the recusal petition against him.

Surprised by this information, Justice Edward Twum invited lawyers of both parties to his chambers for conference. Upon his return from his chambers, he ruled adjourning proceedings to the 25th of October, 2023 after a green light from the Chief Justice indicating a go ahead to him to continue hearing of the matter.

Proceedings are therefore billed for continuation on the 25th of October, 2023 subject to a clear indication from the Chief Justice on the petition.
